The Women
This Page Contains several poems dedicated to the ladies and to all the men who love them enough to treat them as the beautiful and delicate flowers God intended us to be.
FOR THE LADIES
For the ladies feeling pain
For the ladies
For the ladies who shed tears
For the ladies
For the ladies holding on
For the ladies you are strong
For the ladies we unite
For the ladies we hold light
If not for ladies there'd be no men
If not for ladies giving birth to them
For the ladies everywhere
I am sending out a prayer
For the ladies
IF YOU WERE A WOMAN
If you were a woman how would you feel
Would you always be calm and collected
Do you think for a minute that you wouldn't cry
Would your intuition be keenly perfected
All of you hormones would always be balanced
You would control your every word and deed
Nothing anyone would say or do
Would ever make you crass or mean
I know you would bow to every ones whims
Perfectly caring and giving
Wash, cook, and clean and all in between
Include nine to five, you'll love living
Your hair would shine, no gray to be seen
No worry lines on your face
Your skin never sags, no circles or bags
The perfect reflection of grace
Your figure is youthful all of your days
No foul thing would you utter
Of course you don't want to live your own life
You'd bow to the fact "men are better"
You know that you are not equal
that you just should shut up
So just act like a robot
Have babies and cater and such
Your intelligence is above average
Your intuition high on the scale
What if your man wouldn't listen W
ould you be so wonderful still
You'll wonder where your money's going
You'll work, but there's nothing for you
You have no time to spend on yourself
Your a woman, put up with this too
KATHY
If there were one wish that I could be granted
I'd wish for a daddy whose kind
Gentle and loving, not unholy rubbing
And sick in his mind - like mine
How can a daddy ruin his little girl
Take all of her hopes and her dreams
What's your excuse for this sick abuse
Turning my laughter to screams
All of the painful years passed me by
Ill equipped to find true happiness
Why did you break me - why did you take me
Why did you serve me this mess
Oh daddy dear your a failure I fear
For me I will turn this cruel hand around
And deal me a new - something you could not do
For every ounce of strength that I've found
Replaced by a pound of love and I'm bound
To heal every hurt that you gave
You however, will be remembered forever
And that you will take to your grave
Keenly Asserting Truth,Honor, & Youth
DEBORAH
When I was just an innocent girl
Oh just about thirteen
An older man came and took my hand
Said I am the man of your dreams
As all young ladies dream of love
Marriage and children and stuff
I believed I'd found my dream
Not a game of blind man's bluff
Mom and dad said it's ok
So I thought it must be
Let's play house - he's just a louse
Why did you not tell me
I know now that it was wrong
For a man to take a child
Little blind one - angry woman
Masking all the while
Soon you'll see the rage in me
As clearly as my friends do see
Eliminate then consecrate
Your rubber doll I will not be
Desires Emancipation By Obtaining Rightful Action Henceforth
DENA
Take me as I am or not at all
You may see glimpses beyond my wall
See this armor that I wear
Look inside you'll find me there
Baby girl your innocence shattered
Hiding pain is all that mattered
Just because she acted out
That fear and anger that she felt
Made to feel that she was wrong
Unruly child just move along
Unanswered questions still in my head
Something evil wanted that little girl dead
The darkness stole her childhood
Then tried to take her child too
See her stronger than all that
Surviving evils, bouncing back
Now her story must be told
A legacy like precious gold
Stand and look into her face
Marvel at her poise and faith
There's still work that needs to be
To calm the baby's rage in me
But I'm nearly at the verge
To cast off armor and emerge
Daring to Experience New Awareness
JUDY
What a special gift to have T
o have a chance to help
Healing pains and righting wrongs
Seeing other's in your self
Not too many people will
Ever have the chance
To do the work that you do
So many lives enhanced
What a difference that it makes
To know someone is there
When your feeling down and low
Maybe one person cares
Anytime day or night
A call for help may come
Saving lives has no price
When all is said and done
Who was it you stopped from death
Or who stood up and fought
Who were they that escaped
Their progress means a lot
So again I'll say this
Keep serving and you'll see
The meaning of the gift to serve
Your rich for we are free
